England’s Jarell Quansah Banned By FIFA For Two Games After Red Card

13 players have been sent off at this World Cup and all of them only received a one-game ban. No such luck for Jarrell Quansah – FIFA have confirmed the player is banned for two games, meaning he’ll miss the game against Norway on Saturday and a potential semi-final against Argentina.

The 12 other red card recipients at the World Cup received standard one-game bans because their offences were classified under minor or non-violent misconduct, whereas Quansah’s was deemed pure violent conduct after a reckless challenge on Mexico’s Jesus Gallardo.

So in that sense, on surface level, you might say a two-game ban is fair enough…

However, the reason England fans are up in arms is because U.S. striker Folarin Balogun had his own red card suspended and was allowed to play in the U.S.’s round-of-16 match against Belgium, all because Trump gave his buddy Gianni Infantino a call and made it happen.

FIFA didn’t rescind or overturn Balogun’s red card, they suspended it for one year. If they had rescinded the red card, it actually would have made more sense and seemed less corrupt than just postponing the ban for a year so that he could play in a game he had no right to play in.

Essentially they’ve taken Balogun’s red card, doubled it, and given it to Quansah!

There’s now a conspiracy theory doing the rounds like FIFA have ensured Quansah will be banned for two games purely because they want him to miss out on a potential semi-final against FIFA favorites Argentina and Messi.

Might seem like a paranoid theory, but can you really put anything past Infantino and FIFA at this point? They’re just shameless and corrupt to the core. OK, I doubt Messi is quaking in his boots at the thought of facing Jarell Quansah, but at the end of the day, he has been filling in as the starting right-back and doing a decent job for the team.

Also worth noting – Messi himself got away scot-free with what could very well have been a red card offence earlier in the tournament if any other players had committed it…

Maybe someone back in Blighty can pull a Trump and give Infantino a call, in case it changes anything? King Charles? Keir Starmer? Count Binface? Banking on the latter to make it happen.
