Trump Personally Called FIFA To Ask Them To Review Suspension Of Folarin Balogun

Is there any limit to how absurdly corrupt America is?

According to the New York Times, President Trump personally called FIFA President Gianni Infantino to ask him to review the suspension of U.S. player Folarin Balogun.

Sure enough, Balogun’s red card has now been “suspended” and he is available to play Belgium on Monday.

Trump wrote on Truth Social: “Thank you to FIFA for doing what was right and reversing a great injustice.”

This was the red card in question during the USA Vs Bosnia and Herzegovina:

The Belgian national team is “astonished” and “investigating all potential options” because they are understandably fuming about this. They’ve been preparing for this game with the idea that Balogun, the U.S.’s best player, won’t be playing. Now one day before the game, the President pulls some strings and Balogun is back in the opposition squad. That can’t be right, can it?

If there’s any justice in the world, Belgium still spank the U.S. regardless and send them out of the World Cup. But what then? Does Trump ring up Infantino and demand that the match is replayed?

It’s especially ridiculous because there’s no way Trump has ever watched a full 90 minutes of football in his life. But there’s no way that’s going to stop him from acting like he owns FIFA, is it? Which he basically does, for this summer at least.

Come on Belgium! Send them packing.
