Mum Of British Influencer Facing Death Penalty In Dubai Begs Authorities Not To Make Her ‘Little Girl Face The Firing Squad’

The mum of British influencer/TikToker Brooke George has pleaded with authorities in Dubai to spare her daughter the death penalty, urging them: “Don’t make my little girl face the firing squad.”

Brooke, 23, from Gravesend, Kent, has been charged with premeditated murder after stabbing her British boyfriend to death.

Brooke had met 26-year-old Bill Treeby on Facebook, and he eventually flew her out to Dubai to be with him.

According to advocacy group Detained in Dubai, Brooke claims she grabbed a kitchen knife in self-defence during a violent attack by Bill, who was an abusive and controlling boyfriend.

Brooke claims she stabbed Bill as he punched her in the face during a fight on June 22 2026, which escalated as she tried to find her passport to fly back to the UK.

Speaking to The Sun, Brooke’s mum Tess claims her daughter was ‘absolutely terrified’ when she called home just hours before the incident.

Tess said: “She was petrified. Absolutely terrified. She said, ‘Mum, I just want to come home. I’m scared.’ That’s all she said, over and over and over again.”

Brooke now faces the death penalty, and according to her mum, still hasn’t met with a lawyer and ‘doesn’t know what has been said’ or ‘what she signed’.

Tess adds: “They won’t tell her, they won’t converse with her, or even ask her about her safeguarding issues. As you can imagine, she is terrified. She’s vulnerable. She doesn’t know what to do.”

Sounds about right for Dubai, to be fair. You’re always going to have a tough time as a foreign, non-Arabic speaking woman who has murdered her boyfriend, even if you acted in self-defence and have some form of evidence to suggest this.

Good thing there are groups like Detained In Dubai out there to assist with situations like this, so hopefully the evidence is looked at and we see the correct outcome in the end.

A spokesman for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said previously of George’s case: “We are supporting a British national detained in the UAE and are in contact with the local authorities and the family.”
