Lewis Hawkes, 36, Identified As Man Who Stabbed 5 People In Edinburgh
The man who was detained after five people were stabbed in an anti-Muslim attack in Edinburgh last Friday has been identified as 36-year-old Lewis Hawkes.
Amazingly, no one has dug up a clear, personal photo of him yet, but his name and age have been made public.
Hawkes went on a multi-location stabbing spree around Edinburgh for about an hour last Friday, June 19, before being arrested.
As he was being put into cuffs, Hawkes said: “I’m protecting the country from these f***ing Muslim bastards raping our young daughters.”
He has been charged with 10 offences, including five counts of attempted murder. All charges carry an official aggravation of having a terrorist connection due to his anti-Muslim motivations, which he was very clear about.
Hawkes entered no plea during his initial hearing, was remanded in custody, and is scheduled to reappear in court within the next week.

I’m sure there’ll be more information on Lewis Hawkes at some point but I think one thing we can be sure of is that he’s got a bit of a mental health issue going on.
The good news is that none of the injuries he inflicted were life-threatening, so it was a pretty poor effort as far as terror attacks go. Especially as he was reportedly at it for about an hour before police got to him?
Fortunately there was relatively little harm done on this occasion.
