Woman, 21, Who Died After Bungee Jump Staff Threw Her Without Cord Was Alive For A Short Time After The Fall

The 21-year-old woman who died in Brazil after being launched off a bridge by bungee jump staff who forgot to attach her safety cord was reportedly alive for a short time following the fall.

An off-duty nurse who rushed to help said Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas was struggling to breathe and still had a pulse when she got to her…

Awful, just awful. You would think/hope that she would have immediately died from the impact but apparently that wasn’t the case and it took her some time to pass away following the landing.

Fair play to the nurse for talking to her and promising her she wasn’t going to die, but of course, there’s no way anyone is surviving that kind of fall from 130+ feet in the air. You simply cannot humanly recover from the amount of internal bleeding she must have endured.

Questions must now be answered by the dipsh1ts who neglected to attach Maria’s safety rope before throwing her to her death.

Local police detained six people connected to the adventure sports group, with at least three formally arrested on suspicion of “homicide with dolus eventualis” (voluntary manslaughter/murder charges) – meaning they were aware of the risks of their negligence but proceeded regardless.

In fact – the group had no authorisation or legal regulation to conduct extreme sport events at that bridge. Welcome to Brazil?

RIP Maria and thoughts with her friends and family. Let’s hope justice is served.
