Southampton Protesters Demand Police “Bend The Knee And Pay Their Respects To Henry” Nowak
Absolute chaos in Southampton last night as protesters took to the streets to raise hell over the death of Henry Nowak – an 18-year-old student who was put in handcuffs as he lay dying after being stabbed.
A few viral clips from the evening are doing the rounds – including this one where protesters demand police “bend the knee and pay their respects to Henry”:

Mood:
No one can disagree that the handling of Henry Nowak’s murder was an absolute shambles by officers who arrived at the scene, but having a go at random police officers over it? After the killer, Vickrum Digwa, has already been convicted and given a life sentence? Seems a bit harsh really.
The truth is – many of these types who showed up in Southampton couldn’t actually care less about Henry Nowak themselves. They just want an excuse to raise hell and an opportunity to take a few swings at the police.
At the same time, perhaps “bending the knee” wasn’t such a helpful sentiment in the first place. After all, if you’re going to bend the knee for a guy like George Floyd, why wouldn’t you bend it for a lad like Henry Nowak, whose untimely death also had a racial element?
Also at the riot – there was a fair bit of friendly fire between ‘patriots’. Let’s see if they return for round two later today.
