Tom Hardy ‘Fired From MobLand’ Ahead Of Season 3
Tom Hardy is the man, but we already know there are a ton of stories out there about him being a complete d1ck on the set of his films, and it looks like this has a resulted in him being sacked ahead of the third season of MobLand.
In the Paramount+ series, Hardy plays Harry Da Souza, a fixer and hitman who’s been dragged into an ongoing gang war between two London crime families.
Season 1 was a big hit (8.3 on IMDB) and Season 2 has been filmed and is on its way later this year.
However, it seems Hardy won’t be part of Season 3 following reports that the studio has fired the Brit after he was frequently late to set and difficult to work with.

According to Matthew Belloni’s Puck News, producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser were repeatedly clashing with Hardy, and when Butterworth threatened to quit, the studio decided Hardy should go instead.
The report says: “Hardy was apparently late to set a bunch, constantly asked to give notes on scripts, attempted to change dialogue, and expressed his displeasure that a series initially built around him was increasingly becoming an ensemble showcase for Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and other co-stars.”

It’s a massive decision, as Tom Hardy basically was MobLand so I’m not sure how they’re going to carry on the show without him. I mean, don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of talented actors on the show, but Harry Da Souza is the protagonist and central to entire story.
I guess they can figure it all out while Season 2 airs later this year, and come up with something different for Season 3. Maybe they can get Liam Hemsworth in or something. Worse case scenario? Just cancel the whole thing…
