Man Arrested After Shouting ‘Shame Hitler Didn’t Kill You’ On London Bus

A man has been arrested after allegedly yelling ‘shame Hitler didn’t you’ and ‘you should all go in the gas chambers’ at Jewish passengers on a London bus.

The incident unfolded on board the bus number 254 in Hackney, east London, this afternoon.

According to Shomrim, London’s Jewish volunteer security service, the man also claimed to have a knife and threatened to kill Jewish children.

The bus driver hit the emergency button and the 50-year-old culprit was soon arrested.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told Metro: ‘Police were called at 15:51hrs on Thursday, 7 May following reports that a man on a bus on Upper Clapton Road was making threats.

‘Officers attended and arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of making threats to kill and an offence under Section 4A of the Public Order Act. He remains in police custody.

‘Officers searched the male and no weapon was found.’

It’s a shame, really. After all, the Jewish community in the UK has no control over the atrocities being committed in Gaza and beyond – many of them are against it, in fact – so it sucks to think that innocent people are now experiencing antisemitic abuse purely for being Jewish.

Earlier this week, Met Commissioner Mark Rowley announced that an extra 100 police officers were being deployed across London’s Jewish communities following the Golders Green stabbing last week.

I guess he’ll feel even more justified in that decision after hearing this story.
