Members Of Parliament Urging Keir Starmer To Block Kanye West From Entering The U.K. And Performing At Wireless
All hell has broken loose ever since Wireless announced that Kanye West would be headlining all three nights of the London festival this July, with Pepsi, PayPal and Diageo all pulling out as sponsors of the event in the last 48 hours.
Members of Parliament believe the rapper shouldn’t even be allowed in the country, let alone headlining one of the biggest music festivals of the year, and are now urging Keir Starmer to block Kanye’s entry into Britain.
This is all based on Kanye’s history of antisemitic remarks, for which the rapper has since apologised and claimed he was in the midst of a four-month bipolar, manic episode.

Labour MPs such as Luke Akehurst (MP for North Durham) and Rachael Maskell (MP for York Central) have called for a ban. Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey has also explicitly called on the Home Secretary to ban West from entering the U.K. to stop him from performing.
Even Sadiq Khan has condemned the booking, stating West’s past comments are “not reflective of London’s values,” although he noted City Hall was not involved in the private booking decision.
Starmer has already addressed the controversy, though he hasn’t indicated whether he’s going to do anything about it.
The PM said: “It is deeply concerning Kanye West has been booked to perform at Wireless despite his previous antisemitic remarks and celebration of Nazism.
“Antisemitism in any form is abhorrent and must be confronted firmly wherever it appears. Everyone has a responsibility to ensure Britain is a place where Jewish people feel safe.”
The Home Secretary retains the power to block entry if a person is deemed “non-conducive to the public good”. Honestly, it would be a shame if Kanye was barred from entering/performing this summer, as he really seems to have hit his stride again, and recently made $33 million performing over just two nights at LA’s SoFi Stadium. The stage set-up looked absolutely insane:

Let the guy perform in London for his legions of fans, I say. After all, he already apologised for the wild stuff he was saying, including taking out a full page advert in the Wall Street Journal in order to say sorry. He even took that down that ‘Heil Hitler’ song from streaming platforms!
Besides, aren’t there more pressing issues to worry about? Cost of living crisis springs to mind. Kanye will fly in, perform his set, and then fvck off back to America. He may even be convinced to give a ‘Shabbat Shalom’ shout on stage. What’s the problem?
For the time Kanye told a Jewish executive at Adidas to ‘hang a picture of Hitler in your kitchen and kiss it every day’, click HERE. Yikes.
