10-Year-Old Boy Arrested After Writing “Kill List” On Classroom Whiteboard And Threatening To Bring Gun To School
A 10-year-old student at Pride Elementary School in Deltona, Florida, has been arrested after writing a “kill list” up on the classroom whiteboard and allegedly threatening to bring a gun to school.
Investigators also discovered a separate list in the student’s desk titled “list of people who I’m gunna kill” – which named three specific individuals.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office charged the student, Micah Swinnie, with a felony for making a written threat to kill.
The boy told deputies he “didn’t mean it”, and his parents have since stated he does not have access to any firearms.
Is putting a 10-year-old in handcuffs and charging him a bit much? Well, he may be a kid, but that doesn’t mean he can’t do serious damage, especially if he did have access to a gun. Who knows? He could be a little Dexter in the making. Although I doubt even 10-year-old Dexter would have been dumb enough to publicise his kill list on the school whiteboard.
We’ll have to see what the authorities decide to do from here, but hopefully they get this kid the help he needs to understand why he feels this way and how you can’t be making threats like this in a functioning society.
The Sheriff’s Office noted the arrest as part of an ongoing effort to protect the student body from threats of violence.
Authorities notified the parents of the three students named on the list.
