Joe Rogan Shuts Down Steve-O’s Claims That Trans People Are “Oppressed” And At Risk Of Being Sent To Internment Camps

Joe Rogan had Steve-O on his podcast last night and challenged his belief that trans people are ‘oppressed’, after the Jackass legend told a story about meeting a transgender person and how it broke his heart to hear about their life.

Steve-O cited trans women not being able to use women’s bathrooms and claimed there was a push to put them in internment camps (?), prompting Rogan to disagree:

STEVE-O: “But in this situation, talking to this transgender person, I spoke with them… they described to me a level of oppression that genuinely f*cking broke my heart. They said, hey, let me tell you, like I am not allowed to use the bathroom at my own place of work.”

ROGAN: “That’s not true. They’re just not allowed to use the bathroom that doesn’t align with their biological sex.”

STEVE-O: “Okay…”

ROGAN: “I genuinely think there’s people that feel like they are in the wrong biological sex. But there’s also people that are f*cking perverts. And they have a thing called autogynephilia and what that is, is they get a turn on by pretending to be a woman, and they get excited by it. And they want to be around women, and they’re creeps. So you give them a f*cking Willy Wonka golden ticket to go into the women’s locker room and the women’s bathroom to stare at women and pretend you’re a woman, when you’re just a crazy man.

STEVE-O: “I don’t doubt that that’s real, and I know that it’s a super complex, nuanced thing and I don’t—”

ROGAN: “Yeah, but here’s what’s not complex. What is your chromosomes? Okay, this is the same thing for competing…all these f*cking mental gymnastics that seemingly intelligent people do to justify biological males competing with females.”

STEVE-O: “I heard what they had to say about politicians trying to put them in internment camps…”

ROGAN: “Who’s saying that? There might be one kook out there that’s saying that to try and get attention. There’s no movement to try and put transgender people in internment camps.”

As Rogan acknowledges, there are people out there with genuine gender dysphoria, but it’s important to be mindful of men who might use transgenderism as a cloak for their sexual perversions. As he points out – it never seems to be an issue with trans men, just trans women.

You have to love Steve-O, though. The guy is such a sweetheart that he just wants happiness and freedom and good vibes for all. Of course, that cannot be at the expense of women and children, so it’s best to use a common sense approach when it comes to this sort of thing.
