Founder Of Online Fashion Giant ASOS ‘Plunges To His Death’ In Thailand
The British co-founder of online fashion giant ASOS has died after falling from a high-rise apartment balcony in Thailand, reports the BBC.
Quentin Griffiths, 58, fell from the 17th floor of his condominium in Pattaya, with emergency services finding the millionaire’s body on the ground below his balcony.
While investigators noted his room was locked from the inside with no signs of a struggle or break-in, authorities have not yet ruled out foul play.

At the time of his death, Griffiths had been embroiled in an ongoing legal dispute with his Thai ex-wife. She had accused him of forging documents to sell land and shares without her consent, while he alleged she had misappropriated approximately £500,000 from a company they operated together.
Naturally there’s always going to be suspicion and conspiracy any time a multi-millionaire falls to their death from a balcony. It’s not entirely uncommon for foreigners to fall from balconies in Thailand, and especially in a place as seedy as Pattaya, but still. Let’s hope it’s investigated properly and the Thai authorities get to the bottom of what happened.

Father-of-three Griffiths co-founded ASOS (originally “As Seen On Screen”) in 2000 alongside Nick Robertson and Andrew Regan. He had been living in Thailand since 2007.
