Jack Grealish Splashes £20,000 On Christmas Night Out, Misses Everton Game

If there was one footballer in the Premier League you could rely on to enjoy Christmas to the fullest, it’s Jack Grealish.

Sure enough, Daily Mail is reporting that he treated his pals to a ‘£20,000 Christmas night out’ in London that ended with him leaving Platinum Lace strip club in Leicester Square at 4am ‘with a smile on his face.’

Nothing wrong with that really – except his club Everton (where he is currently on loan from Manchester City) were playing away at Burnley today (December 27), and Jack was nowhere to be seen.

According to manager David Moyes, Jack was left out of the squad because he is suffering from a virus, and that could very well be the case, but you do have to wonder whether he would have this ‘virus’ if he wasn’t out partying until 4am a few days earlier.

After all, I doubt any other Premier League footballers were getting plastered at the strip club at 4am during Christmas week; certainly not the ones who had games over the last couple days.

In fact, I’ve just read that Kyle Walker joined Jack Grealish on the night, but had enough sense to go home before the strip club shenanigans began. Funnily enough, Kyle Walker started for Burnley today in the game that Jack missed.

Listen, fair play to Jack Grealish for having a blast on Christmas Day. It’s exactly on-brand and no one would expect anything less. But if I was his manager or teammates or an Everton fan, I wouldn’t be too happy about it. Shame because he’s been quite good for them this season too.
