Rookie Female Officer Tried To Kiss Colleague And Told Him: ‘You Know You Want To’
What’s with all the pseudo baddies causing trouble in the public sector recently? First we had the prison guard getting frisky in the prayer room, then we had the trainee police officer with the drug dealer boyfriend, and now we’ve got this young rookie cop inappropriately targeting a fellow officer on a night out.
Brogan Canning, with North Yorkshire Police, is said to have touched her colleague’s leg, lunged in for a kiss and told him: “You know you want to.”
Apparently the officer didn’t want to, and rebuffed her advances, to which Canning said: “Do you think I’m fit?”

Now you might look at these pics of Brogan Canning and think, “is the officer in question gay?”, and maybe he is, but that’s not really relevant because at the end of the day, he just wasn’t interested in her. In fact, the incident left the officer feeling “angry and embarrassed”, and Canning has now been barred from policing following a misconduct hearing.
The panel heard that Canning had attempted to kiss PC A, who was her senior, and grabbed him by the neck to pull him towards her.
She also touched his leg and repeatedly told him: “You know you want to.”
One witness described watching her “stroking the hand” of the male officer, who later told him she’d actually been stroking his leg.
Another witness recalled Canning “acting oddly throughout the night” before she put her in a taxi home.
PC A told the hearing he “had expected more professional behaviour” from Canning, who quit the force after an investigation was launched.
In fairness to Canning, who is a mum, she later described her antics as “out-of-character”.
A written statement said: “Notwithstanding her lack of memory, the officer did not dispute the allegations.
“She had been good friends with (the male officer) previously and did not provide any reason to doubt his honesty or assertions.
“She had drunk a significant amount of alcohol, which had impaired her judgment on the night and her subsequent recollection of events.
“She was remorseful from the outset and has extended her personal apologies to him.”
At the end of the day, if the sexes had been reversed and a drunk male officer was hitting on Canning in this way, the outcome would have been the same. I guess she should have been more subtle in her approach, or rather, accepted that PC A wasn’t into it and just left it at that.
The panel said Canning’s behaviour was “victimising and offensive” and “therefore a breach of the standard”. North Yorkshire Police confirmed if she had not already left the force, she would have been sacked.
Time to ramp up on the OnlyFans? Or maybe get a job as a prison guard.
