Donald Trump Says Paracetamol ‘Causes Autism’, Warns Pregnant Women Not To Take It

Wild press conference by Donald Trump, RFK Jr and their crew of physicians the other night, as the US President linked paracetamol (or Tylenol, as the Americans call it) to autism. Here he is advising pregnant women in particular to not take Tylenol:

Among the highlights from the presser…

President Trump:

  • The Amish have no autism because they do not take “all of this junk”
  • Reckons that Cuba doesn’t have autism because they do not have money to buy Tylenol
  • Tough out fever during pregnancy except for the extremely severe cases because there’s no viable alternatives
  • ACOG is part of The Establishment (TM) because they contradict the administration
  • HBV is only transmitted sexually
  • Trump directly praises Operation Warpspeed, the program that allowed COVID-19 vaccines to become available in record speed after the start of the pandemic in 2020

RFK Jr.

  • Claims that 40-70% of mothers with autistic children believe their child was injured by a vaccine. He likens the apparent lack of research to gaslighting and suppression
  • RFK Jr. never seen a 70-year-old man who has profound autism, in countering the explanation that we’re getting better at recognising and understanding autism as a primary reason for rising autism diagnosis rates

Dr. Makary, MD

  • “There is a causal relationship between prenatal acetaminophen use and neurodevelopmental disorders of ADHD and autism spectrum disorder…And honestly, there’s been this perfunctory, reactionary, mindless practice in medicine, I learned it in medical school and residency, just treat all low-grade fevers with Acetaminophen? Why, what are we doing?”

  • “President Trump and Secretary Kennedy are dedicated to radical transparency so that patients have the best, most up-to-date information.”

Funnily enough, Trump went on to approve Leucovorin for the treatment of autism in children, just like the guy below on X predicted. Guess who has a financial stake in Leucovorin? You guessed it…

Listen, we’re not experts on autism or paracetamol or vaccines so who knows? Maybe RFK Jr and co are onto something here. It’s just not very convincing when they fail to adequately back up their claims and when so many things they suggest are promptly debunked by experts and health official around the world. Not to mention where you land when you follow the money on this whole thing.

Will be interesting to see whether Trump is sued to high heaven over this, and what it does to Tylenol and paracetamol use around the world. We are living in insane times, indeed.
