It was only ever a matter of time before Donald Trump got fed up with having Elon Musk hanging around him 24/7, and sure enough their relationship has completely fallen apart over the last few weeks, with Elon even publicly Tweeting (likely whilst in a K-hole) that Trump is in the Epstein files.
The main cause of their fallout appears to be a disagreement over Trump’s ‘One Big Beautiful Bill Act’, which Elon criticised for adding $2.4 trillion to the federal deficit and for eliminating electric vehicle (EV) tax credits, which obviously impacts Tesla directly.
The other night, Trump went on a rant on Truth Social at 1AM, where he completely sh@t on Elon Musk, and even threatened to have Tesla investigated by DOGE – the government department that Elon himself created:
Can you imagine DOGE going after Elon? It would be like Dr. Frankenstein being killed by his own monster!
Furthermore, when quizzed on the situation by FOX News, Trump again threatened to set DOGE on Elon, and also said he would ‘take a look’ at deporting Elon back to south Africa:
Wild stuff, but again, it was always inevitable Trump and Elon were going to fall out eventually – we just didn’t realise it would be this soon.
The question now is – who can do more damage to the other? Sure, Trump is the President of the United States and the most powerful man in the country, but Elon Musk is the richest man on the planet and completely unhinged to boot. Aside from the Epstein List stuff (which we already knew about), surely Elon has more dirt on Trump, particularly about anything he saw or learned or was involved in during the run-up to Trump winning the Presidential election.
It would be completely unsurprising to see Elon hitch himself to another political candidate for the next election, or maybe even start a political party himself? That’s if Trump doesn’t deport him, of course.
Could an Elon Musk redemption arc be on the horizon? This battle of the billionaires is going to get messy – that much we can guarantee.
