I can’t remember the last time there was a genuinely funny movie at the cinema, but not only does the new Naked Gun look funny, it’s probably already funnier than every other film that has come out in 2025. Based on this trailer alone!

Might this actually be a reboot that is worth watching? Seems like they’ve nailed the absurdist vibe of the original, and getting Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson involved looks to be a stroke of genius. I’m sure there’ll also be a gag in there about how Liam Neeson is such a similar sounding name to Leslie Nielsen, and plenty more callbacks to the original.

Here’s hoping this one delivers when it comes out in August because we all need a laugh more than ever these days. Never forget:
