There are 36,000 women in the Ukrainian military – among the strongest numbers in the world. Well it looks they just got even stronger because a former Miss Ukraine has traded in her crown for an AK-47 and has announced she is joining the fight against Russian invasion.

Anastasia Lenna, Ukraine’s 2015 representative in the Miss Grand International beauty contest, has answered the call to defend her country, posting various pictures and rallying war cries on Instagram, including:

Everyone who crosses the Ukrainian border with the intent to invade will be killed!

Straight to the point, no messing about! Here she is getting some practice in:

First the Klitschko Brothers, now this? Russia doesn’t stand a chance!

Anastasia also shared a photo to her 75,000 followers showing soldiers walking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whom she called a “a true and strong leader.” She’s also soliciting donations to the Ukrainian armed forces.

It’s worth clearing up that Anastasia isn’t part of the actual Ukrainian military, but rather of the civilian resistance, which is growing everyday. Men aged 18 to 60 have been banned from leaving Ukraine and civilians have been encouraged to fight back against Russian troops. Massive respect to them all.

Shout out to the rest of the Ukrainian women on the front lines also. What a badass country…

Let’s round this off with some more Anastasia…
