56-Year-Old Teacher Arrested After Assaulting Student Who Called Him “Lil Bruh”

A teacher in Arkansas has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after losing his cool with a student in class.

Tracy Matthews, 56, assaulted the student following a verbal exchange over a laptop.

The student said: “Bruh, I don’t have a computer.”

Matthews replied: “I’m not your bruh, I’m your sir.”

The student responded: “My bad, lil bruh.”

Well that comment triggered Mr. Matthews to high heaven as the teacher then snapped and launched a physical attack in the classroom.

According to the police report, Matthews grabbed the student, pushed him against a desk, followed him out of the class, and then choked him against a wall until he couldn’t breathe.

Now obviously Tracy Matthews is completely in the wrong for putting his hands on a student, but I can also sympathise with the guy. After all, kids these days are absolutely capable of taking teachers to that breaking point. Having some little pipsqueak call you “lil bruh” in front of the whole class? That’s just pure disrespect.

Still, might have been a good idea to give him detention, extra homework, or call his parents rather than beat the sh1t out of him. You don’t get to choke a student because they call you “lil bruh”, do you? You’re a 56 year old man and they’re a teenager!

I guess 56 is old enough to remember when teachers were treated with respect. It’s a new world out there…
