40 Foot Minion Brings Traffic To A Standstill On Dublin Motorway

Minion Stops Traffic Dublin

Over in Dublin a giant 40 foot inflatable Minion escaped from wherever it was moored and ended up floating down the motorway, causing chaos and bringing traffic to a standstill.

Over in Santry, which is a suburb of Dublin I’m told, a giant 40 foot inflatable Minion escaped from wherever it was moored and ended up floating down the motorway, causing chaos and bringing traffic to a standstill. The minion floated around Dublin all day and even managed to knock the wing mirror off one unfortunate guy’s car.

An eye witness with the unlikely Irish name of Erin Van Londen described the incident:

I’m not sure how it got loose but I just saw it coming loose and flying across the road as we were driving.

It’s been very windy in the area. We got quite a shock.

Luckily it didn’t seem to cause much damage.

Following its rampage, the minion has been deflated and probably put in a prison somewhere to stop it from somehow inflating itself and escaping again. You can enjoy some pictures from it getting deflated yesterday below though and be thankful that it didn’t end up like the Cleveland balloon disaster of 1986:
