The ITTF World Title (International Table Tennis Federation for you saddos who’ve never heard of it) is a huge deal, and this dude — Zhang Jike of China — just won 7 straight games to claim it. So you’d forgive him for getting a little emotional and OTT in his celebration, right?
Wrong. The jury didn’t like his celebration and so stripped him of his £30,000 prize fund. How fucked up is that? Guy’s getting all fired up, bringing some excitement to the ping pong game and he’s punished for it.
