Earlier this year we reported on a daycare teacher who was caught out for starting a ‘baby fight club’.

And while 26-year-old Kiera Spriggs was previously convicted of six counts of child abuse, it now looks like the judge has slammed their gavel, as she’s now been sentenced to nearly three years in prison.

For those of you who didn’t hear about the story the first time round, both Spriggs and another worker at the Minnieland daycare centre, Sarah Jordan, engaged in several abusive acts including getting the kids to fight each other, feeding them Flamin’ Hot Cheetos (more of a treat than a punishment if you ask me), stepping on their toes and spraying them down with water hoses. After hearing all of the evidence, it almost seems like three years is pretty lenient – these women clearly have issues.

While the abuse happened way back in 2013, authorities have still not figured out what their motives for the abuse are, although officials with a child protective services agency implied that it was for their own entertainment.

Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney Paul Ebert said last week that the abuse and the way it was handled were:

Very concerning to the parents of the children, most of whom didn’t know what was going on.

When it came to light, it was very upsetting to anybody when small children like that are subject to cruelty.

Well, I’m guessing Spriggs and Jordan are regretting their decision to reenact the 90s classic in their classroom. Maybe someone should start up a fight club for them while they’re locked behind bars – see how they like it.
