Residents of Detroit have raised over $50,000 for a statue of none other than Robocop!
This whole fiasco came off the back of a singular Tweet directed at Detroit’s Mayor Dave Bing. The tweet, by the name of MT wrote; ‘”Philadelphia has a a statue of Rocky, Robocop would kick Rocky’s butt. He’s a great ambassador for Detroit.”
After this a Facebook Group was made and the fundraising was started! The group managed to raise $25, 000 and a private source matched it to make up the difference. So lets start a Facebook Petition to get a Mr Blobby Statue in Tetbury!
