So this girl is going viral on TikTok right now for coming up with what she says is the best question to ask at the end of an interview, and how it’s landed her the job every time. Honestly – I’m not convinced. It just seems like a question that can backfire in your face so easily. For one, it puts the interviewer on the spot a little bit and forces them to think about you negatively before they’ve even had the chance to think back on your interview. What if they flip it and hit you with a counter-question like “is there anything I should be concerned about?” You’d be stumped! Screwed! Sent right to the back of the unemployment line!
Seems like there might be better ways of asking the same question, like maybe “what qualities does your best employee have that you’d like to see emulated?”, or “what does success look like in this position?”, or maybe even “can I have a job?”. Whatever you come up with, it better be good because they’re basically giving you an opportunity to stand out by asking your own question. Good luck!
