Woman Killed By Husband After Doing The ‘Netflix Documentary’ Trend On TikTok To Out Him As A Paedo
A 41-year-old TikTok influencer has been shot dead in an apparent murder-suicide after accusing her estranged husband of being a paedophile via the viral Netflix trend.
The trend involves mimicking the format of Netflix documentaries as though they are about to give a tell-all interview.
In Sarah Gilson’s case, she had this wording above her head: ‘Preparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon to be ex husband who I just found out is a paedophile.’

41-year-old Sara Gilson was found deceased by police at her home in Owasso, Oklahoma.

Her husband Jeremiah Duffey, 48, got wind of the TikTok and shot Sara dead at their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, 12 days after she had shared it online. He is then believed to have turned the gun on himself.
Police initially received a call from Gilson screaming and ‘what sounded to be a gunshot’, before receiving a call from their son who said his stepdad had shot his mum.
The couple had been separated since 2021 when she filed two protective orders against him.
Duffy had been on the run since June 10 after another woman made a complaint about him – alleging he had groomed their 15-year-old daughter at a youth basketball team where he was a coach. Another coach claims he saw Duffy kissing and touching the teenager.
The teenager told her parents that Duffy had invited her to his room during a tournament trip and offered her cash to ‘keep her quiet’.
I guess Sara Gilson must have heard about this and made the TikTok, which probably isn’t the best idea when your ex is a violent, unstable nonce with access to guns. Then again, she did have a restraining order against him and the last thing she would have expected was for this lunatic to actually turn up to her house and kill her, and then himself.
An online fundraiser has raised more than £24,000 for Sara’s children, and described her as ‘an incredible mum who loved them fiercely, worked hard to provide for them and dreamed of giving them the best life possible. Her children were the centre of her world. And everything she did was for them.’
