It was only the other week we wrote about the British woman who ‘died’ on the operating table during a £4,300 boob job in Turkey, and now we’ve got another cautionary tale thanks to this American lady who spent $4,000 (£3,000) on a Brazilian butt lift in Mexico.

Judging by her Instagram post-op update, the results aren’t looking too promising thus far:
Wow, imagine paying $4000 to end up being shaped like Danny Devito’s Penguin from Batman Returns. I mean it looks like they just moved her bum to the front of her body or something?! Sincerely hope it’s just a post-surgery swell she’s got going on because it’s no good going through the rest of your life looking like a human Minion. She seems pretty chill about the whole thing though and happy to take questions so let’s hope it all turns out OK.
At the end of the day if you’re the type of person to skip exercise and dieting and go straight down the surgical route, at least make sure you’re spending enough money to find a doctor who is going to do it right. Just ask the lady whose boob job left her breasts looking like crab claws.
