Wakey Wines and their bizarre TikTok campaign – that has somehow turned them into viral celebrities who people can’t get enough of despite them selling bottles of Prime energy drink for over fifty times its asking price – have been the talk of the town in the past couple of weeks, but now Wheatley Minimarket has emerged to take a stand against them.

The minimarket in Doncaster has decided to start giving away bottles of Prime to customers completely free of charge to highlight Wakey Wines’ quite awful profiteering of the situation. They’ve also started making their own TiKTok videos trolling Wakey Wines’ notorious catchphrase, calling them out for being the worst shop in Wakey rather than the best.
Owner Jiy Singh said the following about his initiative to Yorkshire Live:

Shop local but not if they are trying to rob you with stupid prices people, think smart, with today’s economy yous need to use your moral compass and buy things at the right prices.

Gotta agree with the guy really haven’t you but I suppose it’s not actually Wakey Wines’ fault that people are actually willing to pay £100 for a bottle of this crap. It is their fault that they’re willing to take their money off them and laugh at everyone involved by making dumb memes about it though. Assholes.
Funnily enough, Wheatley Minimarket used to tag Wakey Wines in all their videos, but Wakey Wines have actually blocked them now. Could this already be the most ridiculous feud of 2023? I gotta say that Wheatley Minimarket doesn’t quite have the charisma of Wakey Wines yet, but I’m still routing for them because of their commitment to not ripping people off. We’ll see if they get anywhere.
