8) Goliath Beetle
This leviathan gets a mention because he’s the biggest insect in the whole wide world as far as size, bulk and weight go. He’s harmless, but you wouldn’t want him in your kitchen and/or pantry. They’re kept as pets in some places and apparently love eating dog food. Here’s what they look like as infants… so cute!:
In the wilds of the African jungles they eat tree sap and fruit. There is no way on earth I would touch it. No way.
