Wanted Man Jumped Into Nativity Scene And Pretended To Be ‘Wise Man’ To Lose Police
A man on the run from police exhibited some top-tier Looney Tunes logic by trying to disguise himself in a Christmas nativity scene as the fourth of the three wise men.
The unnamed 38-year-old migrant from Ghana was being chased in the town of Galatone, southern Italy, when he tried to trick officers into thinking he was a part of the nativity scene.
It almost worked as well; as the man was only clocked when the town’s mayor spotted him after seeing small movements in the corner of his eye, according to La Repubblica.

The man was fleeing police after a conviction for assault and resisting arrest.
Mayor Flavio Filoni said: ‘While I was walking past the nativity scene, which set up by our tourism office, I noticed a figure which I initially though was part of the scene.
‘But then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw the figure moving.’
The man was yanked from the nativity scene and arrested and will now be remanded in custody in nearby Lecce, where he will spend nine months in prison.
Not such a ‘wise man’ after all then, although it did work for Kevin McCallister so you can’t blame the guy for trying.
Who knows? If the town mayor hadn’t spotted the man’s eyes moving, he may have actually got away with it. Best to kneel down next to the manger next time IMO. Or at least lose the weird zombie hands pose.
