A 51-year-old trucker from West Yorkshire has managed to find love in the unlikeliest of places – a gammy petrol station toilet.

Mark Ellis was just taking a regular pee break when he noticed a message scrawled on the wall that read:

If you want a good shag call Donna on….

Rather than pass by this unbeatable opportunity, he decided to text the number that followed the message, asking:

Hi. What are you up to?

He said that he was simply ‘curious to know if it was a real human being’. Amazingly it was, as legal secretary Donna Roberts replied. She said how she was initially confused as to how he found her number, but it turned out to be a vengeful ex-boyfriend trying to humiliate her. However, his plan backfired as they soon struck up a conversation and met a couple of days later.

Things got serious pretty quickly after meeting and the rest is history – the pair now have two children, although luckily the kids don’t know how the pair first met.

Not the most romantic of stories but it certainly is interesting. Imagine if Ellis had never taken the risk? I might give it a go next time I’m sat in a grimy petrol station toilet.
