1) Mara Carfagna
Topless dancer turned politician. Now there’s a U-turn. But if you think about it that’s probably given her a unique perspective on the human condition. I mean, if you’ve had dirty, stinking drunk, slime balls try and letch all over you for years, politics won’t be much different.
After dancing and performing on Italian TV she entered politics. Carfagna was elected to the Chamber of Deputies for Forza Italia party in 2006. From 2008 to 2011 she served as Minister for Equal Opportunity in the Berlusconi IV Cabinet.
Her political career has seen her championing laws against stalking and homophobia. Good work.
