Kabaeva is a retired rhythmic gymnast who’s been involved in politics since 2007. She now works as a State Duma deputy from the United Russia party.
She’s one of the most decorated gymnasts in the history of rhythmic gymnastics with two Olympic medals, 14 world championship medals and 25 European championship medals. She is flexible. Fact.
There were rumours going around that she was engaged to marry Herr Putin but they seem to have been false. Whether or not there was any kind of “action” between the two remains unclear. My money’s on “yes”.
