Tommy Robinson Is Now Saying The ‘Gay Dating’ Advert Was A Screenshot That Was Sent To Him

Tommy Robinson continues to be mocked after complaining about gay dating ads on YouTube, not realising that those ads are targeted and based on the user’s search history and internet activity. Here’s a reminder of his initial post earlier this week:

After commenters let Tommy know how personalised ads work, he deleted the Tweet and issued a statement explaining that the reason YouTube was showing him gay dating ads was because “gayness”, like immigration or mosques or Palestine, are issues that he researches online, whilst not necessarily supporting them:

That explanation (and the fact he deleted his original Tweet) only made people more convinced that Tommy Robinson is gay – not that there’s anything wrong with that – and so he’s now put out a second excuse: claiming that the gay dating ad screenshot was not from his YouTube and was actually posted by an admin.

He ‘proved’ this with a screenshot from a group chat with no dates showing:

Interesting. When Tommy issued the first explanation, he made a point to say that he gets all sorts of ads because of the research he does. Now he’s blaming an admin. Doesn’t the first excuse he gave completely negate the second excuse?

Well either way, the guy really isn’t doing himself any favours by banging on about it every day. It really is getting to the point where he’s protesting a little too much, isn’t it? Best to just keep schtum from now on and hope the internet forgets about it (spoiler = it won’t).
