Theo Von Fans Worried After He ‘Bombs’ Show And Makes Worrying Comments On Stage

Theo Von is easily one of the funniest comedians and most popular podcast hosts on the planet right now, but apparently his show at the Beacon Theatre in New York did not go to plan the other night, made worse by the fact that it was being filmed for his upcoming Netflix special.

The reviews are pretty brutal:

Now obviously any stand-up comic can have a bad – even horrific – set, but what was really concerning was what Theo Von said at the end of the show while signing off for the fans who did stay in attendance; telling them: “I’m having a long month, I’m trying not to take my own life.”

Hard to tell if he’s being facetious or not, but anyone who’s familiar with Theo Von’s podcast will know that he frequently talks about mental health and his own demons and battles with depression over the years. So I’ve no doubt that his friends, family and those around him will take what he said seriously and make sure he’s alright.

Maybe some time off is in order? Seems like Theo Von has been touring and putting out content, whether it be stand-up or podcasting, non-stop for years now. I don’t think anyone would begrudge him clearing the next couple months off his schedule and just going off and chilling on a beach somewhere. In the meantime, hopefully Netflix can work their editing magic and make out that it was a half-decent show where the crowd stayed all the way till the end.

Get well soon, Theo!
