Monalisa Perez, 19, and her boyfriend Pedro Ruiz, 22, were trying to see whether a handgun bullet would penetrate a heavy book he was holding. However, sadly Pedro died after the bullet hit his chest. RIP.

Previous to the shooting, Perez tweeted:

Me and Pedro are probably going to shoot one of the most dangerous videos ever. HIS idea not MINE.

They were testing the .50-caliber Desert Eagle handgun. Ruiz allegedly told a relative that, “we want to get famous.”

Since the shooting, Perez has been charged with manslaughter. The couple already had a young child and Perez is pregnant with their second child.

What an absolutely sad and tragic state of affairs. I just don’t know what was running through Ruiz’s head? Both him and Perez were completely out of their minds thinking shooting someone in the chest is a good idea, book or no book. And now sadly Perez and her kids have to live with the consequences. So sad.

For more YouTube pranks gone wrong, this YouTuber lost custody of his kids after posting these brutal videos. Idiot.
