Something “Extreme” Allegedly Happened To Vitaly In Prison In The Philippines
We first blogged about Vitaly way back in 2013, and since then he went on to become one of the most infamous and successful YouTubers out there off the back of his pranks, livestreams, and predator-catching videos.
Last year, Vitaly went over to the Philippines to do some live-streaming and ended up committing a few crimes in the process; including theft, harassment and disturbing the peace. Here’s an example of what he got up to:
This behaviour did not go down too well with Filipino locals, the government or the police, and Vitaly has now been sitting in a hot, crowded, dangerous Manila prison cell since April 3 2024.
Authorities have already refused to deport him until after he receives and carries out his jail sentence, but apparently it could 2 – 3 YEARS before he even gets a trial, at which point they’ll probably give him even more prison time. The guy is absolutely screwed!
In the meantime, there have been a couple updates as to what Vitaly has been getting up to exactly whilst in prison. First, the Taguig City Jail Male Dormitory appeared to show Vitaly being baptised on its official Facebook page, and now word on Filipino social media is that he’s suffered an “extreme” injury:
The main rumour circuling on social media in the Philippines appears to be that Vitaly had his hand chopped off, but this is all completely unsubstantiated at this point.
If Vitaly has suffered some kind of awful injury or incident in there, there’ll be a lot of Vitaly haters celebrating the news, which is completely awful. It’s not like the guy killed anyone, he was just behaving like a total prat to get some views on his livestream. He doesn’t deserve to endure a horrific, life changing injury, in addition to spending all this time in a Filipino jail, does he?
What we do know for sure is that he’s lost a ton of weight in there…
The whole saga has likely deterred other YouTubers/foreigners from acting like idiots in the Philippines ever again, so I think they should let the guy go home now. Lesson learned – big time.
Meanwhile over in neighbouring South Korea, fellow streamer Johnny Somali is also facing guaranteed prison time for being arguably even more of a d1ck than Vitaly was in the Philippines. These Asian countries are not messing about.
