Sabrina Carpenter Goes Viral For Saying ‘One 20 Minute Conversation In Italy Teaches You More About Life Than 20 Years In The United States’
Sabrina Carpenter is one of the biggest pop stars in the world right now so I’m not sure I can imagine her having a 20-minute conversation with a random civilian while on holiday in Italy, but apparently that’s exactly what she did, and the experience taught her more about life than 20 years chatting to people in the United States did.
Sabrina told Vogue Italia: “You learn more about life in a 20-minute conversation with someone from Italy than in 20 years in the U.S.”

So basically what every average 20-something American girl that just came back from studying in Italy would say. Except Sabrina Carpenter is not your average American girl. Which is why I’m amazed she had time to talk to anyone for 20 minutes in between living it up in Italy and taking 6,000 photos of herself out there.
Imagine you’re an Italian local just going about their day in Italy. Can you imagine Sabrina Carpenter walking up to you with 5 bodyguards, an entire entourage, a film crew, wearing an outfit that costs more than your house, and having a 20 minute conversation with you? Would have been good for her to elaborate on what this life-changing conversation was about at least. I’m guessing it was a little deeper than what their favourite pizza toppings are, but then maybe that’s considered deep in Sabrina’s world.
Then again, 26-year-old Sabrina Carpenter has been famous for around a decade now, and in all those years travelling the world, she may have actually experienced way more than we’re giving her credit for. Maybe even more than the rest of us have living our boring, non-multi-millionaire, non-celebrity lives. Who knows – Sabrina Carpenter may be onto something?!
Oppositely, being that rich and famous and travelling the world probably makes you more detached from reality than anything else could. I suppose it depends on how you look at it. Either way, her fellow Americans are very offended by her comments. I’m sure they’ll get over it.
