Basiago is lobbying Obama to own up to this time travelling and teleportation technology. He wants the government to stop being so selfish and allow citizens to teleport too. He’s realised that teleportation could save the world billions of dollars and also save on the emissions it takes to travel long distances. So although Basiago is obvs nuts at least he has our best interests at heart.

Right let’s now tackle his evidence of life on Mars.

Basiago doesn’t just claim there was life on Mars, he claims there is life on Mars and plenty of it. Humanoids and other animals live in a civilisation surrounded by statues and other artifacts of intelligent design. But unfortunately his “evidence” is shockingly poor. I don’t really want to slam the guy too hard because he obviously believes it, and he’s clearly delusional so we shouldn’t mock. But on the other hand, he’s so fully convinced of his findings that his skin is so thick he would hardly notice a full-scale diss. He would steadfastly believe the problem lay with my brain and my inability to see the truth.

He did submit his findings to the National Geographic Society but for reasons that will become laughably clear, his report was rejected for print. So I’ll start with the most compelling of all of the images. Here is a humanoid on a rocky outcrop, Basiago believes it’s a statue:

So that’s pretty good, we can all easily convince our brains that’s a human. But our rational brain still knows that it’s just a funny shaped rock. But as I said that’s the best of a bad bunch. Here’s another humanoid this time with an ovoid face, probably made of plasma apparently:

Yeah, I just can’t even see what he means? And this next one’s no better. He claims this is a statue of a bee with a humanoid head…
