The death of David Bowie was definitely one of the shittiest pieces of news this year – actually no, of the century. He was a true genius and his legacy will carry on for years to come. Aside from all of the iconic albums he pumped out, for many of us he will also be remembered for his role as Jareth the Goblin King from the Jim Henson classic, ‘Labyrinth’.

For those of you who love that film (who doesn’t?) and enjoy board games (again, who doesn’t?) then you’ll be happy to know that a company called River Horse Games have combined these two things and created a state of the art ‘Labyrinth’ board game. And apparently they have just announced that pre-orders are currently happening and will be shipping this summer. So for people who don’t want to waste their time in the summer sun, having stupid ‘fun’ with their mates in the outside world, why not buy one of these bad boys, crack open a bottle of whiskey and play yourself into a Labyrinth?

If you’re interested you can pre-order HERE – the game costs £40 although you’ll have to be quick as apparently River Horse has been so overwhelmed since announcing sale of the collector’s item that they’ve had a hard time keeping their site online. Not surprised as this truly looks like it could beat Monopoly.

The game properly stays true to the movie as well – the ‘turn maker’ (who signifies whose turn it is) is a picture of the babe and the ‘event cards’ are based on events that actually happen in the movie. So not only will this be a right old laugh but for all of you ‘Labyrinth’ geeks, this will be a nice little trip down memory lane as well.
