Mum Arrested For Giving Her Toddler A Tattoo Because “He Wanted One”

A mum from Columbia, Kentucky, has been arrested after allegedly giving her 22-month-old son a tattoo.

Brook McDaniel, 27, claimed she was tattooing her own leg when the child suddenly walked up and stuck his arm in the way of the tattoo gun.

However, witnesses reported she intentionally tattooed her son, calling the inking a “party dot” and claiming the toddler “wanted one”.

Police responded to a child abuse complaint at Brook’s residence, and sure enough, turned up to find a small “black dot tattoo” on the toddler’s right forearm, surrounded by visible redness.

During the investigation, Kentucky State Police reported the home was in “deplorable” condition, leading them to contact the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services for further assessment.

Brook McDaniel is now being held on a $5,000 bond as she faces charges of fourth-degree assault (child abuse).

Honestly, what was she thinking? Of course your barely-2-year-old son “wants a tattoo”. He also wants to be a pirate. Are you going to take his eye out and give him a peg leg?

If you’re dumb enough to tattoo your toddler, at least give him something cool like ‘Thug Life’ or a sick panther or something. A black speck? He won’t even able to convince the other kids at nursery that it’s a legit tattoo.

Well anyway, fair play to the witnesses for alerting the authorities. Sounds like McDaniel was an unfit mother living in a dump in any case, but the tattoo was the final straw.
