Melania Trump always gave the impression that she’s been emotionally and mentally checked out of her marriage for years now, so it’s not particularly surprising to find out that she’s feeling ‘zen’ about Donald Trump potentially going to prison.

Trump was already indicted earlier this year for paying hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels on the eve of the 2016 election (is that a crime?), but he’s now been indicted a second time, on more serious federal charges that could see him locked up. What does Melania think about this? Not much, according to reports:

Sources told People that Melania “doesn’t want anything to do with any of it,” and while she wishes “these legal issues would go away,” she is in a been-there-done-that mode about the whole thing. After all, as People reports, she has “lived with other public humiliation for many years, including the sex scandals.” And she’s not about to let her husband’s problems become her problems. “Melania…prefers to go about her business,” a person familiar with the matter told the outlet, adding that the former first lady will not be dragged down. “She continues moving ahead,” the person said.

The report goes on to mention how Melania wasn’t present at either of Trump’s arraignments, and she doesn’t fancy his chances either. She’s not alone there, as Trump’s former attorney general, Bill Barr, called the charges “very, very damning,” adding: “If even half of it is true, then he’s toast.”

Now all we need is for Melania to turn up to Trump’s sentencing in her famous ‘I really don’t care do u?’ jacket, while holding hands with Pete Davidson…

There really could not be a better ‘season finale’ for Trump’s story than that. Imagine all the ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ memes you could make! Although knowing Trump’s luck, he’ll probably avoid jail altogether and end up as President again in November. Somehow, I think Melania would settle for that too.
