If you thought Avengers: Endgame was the most ambitious crossover in history then think again, because Coronation Street legend Les Battersby just turned up at the latest Sovereign Pro Wrestling (SOVPRO) show at the Trinity Sports Centre in Manchester, and blew the damn roof off the place.

The 71-year-old Corrie icon made his way to the ring to Status Quo’s ‘Rockin’ All Over The World’, unveiling himself as the chief member of the LBWO (Les Battersby World Order, duh):

Les Battersby (aka Bruce Jones) made his debut in the wrestling ring this weekend

He then proceeded to lay the smackdown on some jabroni who was foolish enough to interrupt his segment, debuting what I’m guessing is his finishing move – The Les Battersby Iron Claw:

200 people cheered on the star as he dealt some blows in the ring

Back in reality, this new version of Les knocked one opponent out flat

Showing off some moves, Bruce tried to terrify his opponents

Apparently this all served to set up a ‘Coronation Street Fight’ between two warring SOVPRO factions for the next show, which is pretty genius to be fair. Someone’s getting a kettle to the head, surely!

Never forget – the original inception of the nWo:
