UFC 271 goes down tonight with Israel Adesanya headlining against Robert Whittaker, but ahead of that The Last Stylebender decided to defend Joe Rogan’s honour at the press conference. Pretty cool thing for Israel to do, and it looks like Joe Rogan appreciated it as well as he shared the clip and a thank you on Instagram:

Funnily enough Rogan has been pulled from commentary duties tonight, citing a “scheduling conflict”. Which makes you wonder whether that was some TV exec decision as the controversy around him carries on. As we all saw he made that terrible Planet of the Apes joke and used the N-word a bunch of times in the early days of his podcast, but is the idea that he’s this racist far-right monster who is out to spread misinformation a bit OTT? After all, there’s a newer compilation out of Joe doing the rounds:

Sounds like a pretty liberal guy? Make your own mind up I guess, but it’s interesting that so many of his friends and colleagues of all backgrounds have only good things to say about him.
