Comedian Hans Kim came under fire recently for some jokes he cracked about Matthew Perry’s death on an episode of Kill Tony. The live audience seemed to find it funny, but the internet was apoplectic with rage (as usual). Here’s a reminder in case you missed it:

When the whole saga came up on the latest episode of Kill Tony, Hans Kim made a VERY good point about why publications like the New York Post are hypocrites for condemning his jokes about Matthew Perry:

I mean, he’s just hit the nail on the head right there, hasn’t he (even if he’s tempting another cancellation attempt in the process). Funnily enough, all this negative press has managed to do is lend to Hans Kim’s popularity and make him a bigger name than he was before. Who could have seen that coming? Well, pretty much anyone who isn’t a recreationally outraged Twitter user, I suppose.

Hans also caught some flak for this Israel-Palestine joke, which assures he won’t be changing his comedy style anytime soon:

Hey, you can’t know the limits of what’s funny and what isn’t unless you push the envelope a bit, right?
