This monumentally odd fella has, according to him, been having psychic experiences since he was a 7-year-old boy living in Carolina. Spivey doesn’t just tell people the future though, oh no, he’s bigger than that. He can speak to the dead, channel spirits and heal the sick. Not a bad CV.

He runs retreats which will set you back a butt load of cash, but I’m sure they’re worth it. If I had a tonne of money I would defo go to one, it would be hilarious I’m sure. Imagine getting to hang out with that hair do for a week. Amazing. In fact, shall we organise a Sick Chirpse outing? It would be like Coach Trip, but gnarlier and more psychedelic.

To really get the measure of a man you have to see him at work. I already feel I know enough about Spivey to not really rate him as a human, but there has to be something about him to have enabled him to rinse so much cash out of people without being good at anything. What do you make of all that? Utterly bizarre isn’t it? So, like I said at the start, there will always be some differences between the US and the UK and I’m glad Spivey the divey is one of those differences. The other startling difference between the US and the UK that I’m pretty pleased about is the average American family’s terrifying penchant for owning stock piles of weapons.

I think I’ll stay on this side of the Atlantic for now.
