So I guess there’s going to have to be some kind of mass clear up now, otherwise the rotting carcasses will probably poison the lake even more? Or will they just feed the creatures in the lake that didn’t die? Or if everything died does that mean there’s no animal life in there at all anymore? So many questions, so few answers.

Indonesian fishery officials have blamed the weather for the upset but they haven’t mentioned the clear up. I guess the locals will just have to get stuck in…

When I was reading around this story I found that there’s a mass of apocalyptic websites noting this down as proof of the beckoning end. They diligently report on all the mass animal deaths they find in the news. It’s pretty mad (I think I can feel an article coming on). As if the son of god would signal his arrival on earth with the stink of rotting fish? It was sulphur people. Get over it.

On a positive note McDonalds are planning a 2-4-1 deal on their Fillet-O-Fish burgers next week. Mmmmm… fishy… I don’t want to end this sad story on a high though, so here’s a final note from the bible:

Hosea 4:3 “Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away”. *Gulp*
