‘The Last Of Us’ and its sequel are two of the most successful video games in recent memory and a major factor of this is their post apocalyptic plot, so it makes perfect sense that HBO would develop the franchise into a TV series.

Fans obviously went crazy when the news was first announced a while ago, and now they’re positively in meltdown after the channel dropped the first 30 second teaser as part of a longer trailer highlighting all the great shows that they’ve got coming up in the next year. It was ‘The Last Of Us’ content that received the biggest segment and the biggest internet reaction though – check it out below:

OK so it’s hardly giving much away and we don’t get to see any zombies or anything, but it does look as if it’s going to be a fairly faithful reconstruction of the Joel and Eliie relationship in the video game. Given HBO’s track record, I imagine that the whole series is going to be pretty awesome as well. Only a matter of time before we find out. Stoked.
