Dylan Mulvaney is probably one of the most controversial characters of the last year or so after her partnership with Bud Light led to a massive backlash against the beer brand as people over in America decided to straight up drop out of drinking it rather than be associated with the transgender activist.

Dylan herself took that news particularly hard and decided to stop posting on social media for a while, but was back today with a video celebrating 500 days of ‘being a woman’, where she talked about everything that she had learned over this period. You can take a look at that video below, but I put a couple of highlights in text underneath it too:

I’d like to give my fans a little catch up on some of the things I’ve learned between days 365 and 500.

On day 387 I learned to be less trusting. I used to be the most trusting and giving person but that has definitely changed. Trust is something that should be earned and not just instantly awarded.

On day 398 I learned that misery loves company and I’d rather share the joy than pain.

Day 402 taught me the benefits of setting comments on Instagram to followers only. If you see unkind comments now then it’s from people who have decided to follow me.

On day 408 I learned who my true loved ones are. I gave myself and my identity to people who didn’t deserve it, and then the trans and queer community was there to pick me back up without pity.

Thank god for that, thank god for them. Thank you.

There are plenty more days of great importance but I’d like to round out the list by dedicating day 500 to my younger self, who didn’t get to celebrate so many awesome discoveries.

Well I suppose that’s kind of wholesome and has some kind of a nice story behind it, but I’m sure most of the comments on this – and maybe Dylan’s actual post – will be about how she isn’t actually a woman and all kinds of other insulting/mean stuff about what she’s saying. So it goes.

For more of the same, check out Dylan saying that it should be illegal to call her a man. That went down really well too.
