Cristiano Ronaldo may be one of the most famous footballers in the world, but he does have a rape accusation hanging over his head after Kathryn Mayorga accused him of penetrating her anally without a condom or lubricant, so I guess maybe it isn’t that surprising that he associates himself with Jordan Peterson?

For those of you that don’t know, Peterson is a controversial psychologist who has achieved widespread acclaim throughout some sections of society for his controversial views on subjects like climate change and race, but he’s also been accused of promoting racist, transphobic and misogynistic ideas. He’s also been quoted as saying that ‘women have an unconscious wish for brutal male domination’ which is just one of his many problematic ideas.
Anyway, Ronaldo put the picture up on his Instagram and the reaction was pretty much what you would expect:

Well yeah I guess those are the exact reactions from the exact people who you would expect to react like that but I’m not really sure what else to say about it. Peterson is controversial sure but I’m not certain that he’s as bad as everyone says – there’s definitely some value to some of his ideas – but Ronaldo probably should have known better to be pictured with him if he didn’t want to receive at least somewhat of a negative reaction.
I guess some people probably like him even more now though. Swings and roundabouts.
