Jheeze. I don’t know if Liam Smith realises what year it is because that’s the sort of trash talk you’d expect to hear in the 80s and not before a mainstream boxing match in 2023. Fair play to Chris Eubank Jr for how he handled it although it would’ve been interesting to see Smith’s response if he had actually admitted he was gay. What would he have said to that, I wonder?

Eubank further addressed the incident in a post-presser interview:

I think any decent person is now hoping Eubank demolishes this guy at the weekend. It would be pretty sweet if he then grabbed the mic and announced that Smith just got whooped by a gay dude, although I’ve got no idea if he actually is or not.
